The Destination Builder was designed and developed with a very strong emphasis on consultant and operational practices.  The day to day working methods of tour operators and DMC's were used as basis for work flow process automation as well as the selection of the computer programming environment.  99% of the Tour Operator Market use Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook on a continuous basis so it made sense to develop the Builder in that environment.

  • Why use software that allows one to export reports to MS Excel for analysis when it is possible to have your software run from within your analysis tool?

  • Do you want to spend time training new staff on a system that they are completely unfamiliar with or would you prefer them to use tools that they already know and trust?

It was answers to questions as above that ultimately lead to the decision to develop the Builder with Microsoft Excel as the base operating environment.

The flexibility and ease of use are the two single most important benefits of using the Destination Builder as your Tour Operator System

The Destination Builder Lite

G

The Destination Builder comes in two versions:

  • Destination Builder

  • Destination Builder Lite

The Lite version is as its name implies... light.  It provides full functionality with the following exceptions:

  • Microsoft Word integration

  • Microsoft Outlook integration

  • Pastel/Quickbooks Integration

The license and maintenance agreement is limited in the sense that Lite user requests for Builder feature development is not included in the agreement.  Support is also limited.

The "Lite" version is designed for smaller companies who require excellence and speed in itinerary and quote creation at a budget price.

Unique Features

G

  • Remote functionality is possible without a permanent or direct link to your main office or server

    • Remote office

      • Designed for permanent satellite offices.  E-mail functionality is required to transfer data to and from your main office but only on an ad-hoc basis

    • Remote User

      • Designed for users on the move.  Create programs, quotes and itineraries off site without any Internet connectivity.

  • The Builder is a light weight system that does not require hugely expensive hardware improvements on your side.  If you can run Microsoft Office 2003 then you already have what you need.

  • The Destination Builder runs from within Microsoft Office so switching to the Builder means using what you already have

    • Continue using what most of the world is currently running on

    • Retain the power and flexibility you have become accustomed to

    • Minimal user training for new or current staff

  • The full version includes a development agreement meaning that the functionality of the Builder can be extended even further to suit the specific needs of your company.

  • There are absolutely no restrictions on the type of services that you can use.

  • Last minute or once off services or specially negotiated rates can be added directly by consultants without the need for database capturing first.
